I am happy to show you my graphic projects.
The most recent one is a book about the new concert hall for contemporary music in Amsterdam.
I graduated in 2004 from the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. My graduation projects included the school brochure, a photography reader and a newspaper about scandals in music history.
Since then I worked together with Arjan Groot for debalie, the Creator magazine, on a contribution about tattoos as well as on stamps for the dutch post. Two of my own favorite projects are the identity for a gallery in Amsterdam and the magazine Paperwaste, that won the Type directors club prize of 2007.
Last summer, we made a book about Eindhoven's architecture as well as the yearbook for A10, an architecture magazine with a European focus. In june, we went to Lisbon for the opening of the exhibition Horror vacui, designed by us.
Beside graphic design, I work as a sound artist. My favorite projects were the illegal sound installation in the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt and Nachtaktief. In a gallery I installed a whispering pillow,a party and I secretly placed gossiping voices in a hallway.
In the spring of 2008, I decided to go to work for the amazing team at ...,staat, so hellojulia will be on hold.
Best regards, Julia.
